Momentary and Fleeting is an exhibition of the work of Robin Taudevin and his humane interest in both people and nature: from the first known documentation of Home Office Dawn Raids in Glasgow, to the Timor-Leste armed struggle for full independence, to fragile underwater ecosystems. Curated by his sister, Julia Taudevin, this exhibition considers what has changed in the 20 years since Robin died. The Opening Preview features words and music from the Glasgow Girls, Kieran Hurley, Djana Gabrielle, Henry Bell, Nerea Bello and more.

A graduate of the University of Glasgow, Robin worked in international humanitarian aid documenting conflict and the people and natural world affected by it. He sought to expose injustice, understand complexity and inspire compassion. He photographed significant themes by looking at seemingly insignificant actions, preserving that which is momentary and fleeting. An extreme athlete since his teens, Robin began free-diving in his late 20's, opening the door to underwater photography. On the 14th of May 2006, Robin drowned when free-diving alone off Cristo Rei beach in Timor Leste. He was 29.

This exhibition is part of the UNESCO RIELA Spring School: The Art of Integrating 2026
